Natural remedies to shrink fibroids have been around for many years, and in the absence of much in the way of effective conventional treatment, many women have used them with differing degrees of success. There is very little reassurance or treatment which doctors can offer for fibroids. There is, of course surgery, but unless you have a total hysterectomy, the fibroids are very likely to regrow.
I found that when I went for my consultation, in October 2006 which followed a couple of years of me wondering why my clothes didn’t fit (!) and why my periods were so heavy, I did ask if there were any natural remedies to shrink fibroids but the doctor just seemed unaware of anything other than surgery and the accompanying hormone treatment which is given to reduce fibroids before the procedure. I was scheduled for surgery in March 2007 as my fibroids were huge! One was as big as a small melon and there were apparently several the size of oranges.
I was afraid of surgery and I’d read lots and lots about how fibroids could regrow unless I had a hysterectomy. I almost felt like there was nothing I could do to help myself but if you have been looking on the internet for information, as I did, you’ll be aware that there is quite a bit written about how women had managed to shrink fibroids naturally and I’d be the first to admit that I was very skeptical.
I spent ages researching the topic and finally decided to try using natural remedies to shrink fibroids. To be perfectly honest, it kind of gave me something to focus on before my surgery. I was scheduled to start hormone treatment in January to try and shrink the larger ones down to hopefully avoid complications during the op.
There is no “one” cause of fibroids and this is why any treatment which has a chance of working has to have a multi-faceted approach. It is thought that fibroids are caused by a combination of factors which, by chance, have come together in a woman’s body and their subtle interaction have caused fibroids to grow. It is thought that one factor is an excess of the hormone estrogen, and that the levels are higher in women who are overweight. Controlling estrogen can help fibroids to shrink. In addition, there is evidence to suggest that certain pollutants, such as pesticides, mimic estrogen so by ensuring you eat only organic produce, you are giving yourself the best chance. A good liver detox can also help to remove toxins already stored in the liver.
Other natural treatments to shrink fibroids include eating foods which are naturally anti-inflammatory, such as oats, hops, rosemary and cumin.
If you are prepared to spend a little time and effort, then a natural treatment to shrink fibroids could be the answer. However, if you are the type of person who just wants a quick-fix solution, then I would rather tell you now that this method will not work. I had to persevere with the treatment for a few weeks before I saw significant results, although I did notice a slight difference within a few short days-suffice to say that I did not go ahead with my surgery and I am still completely free of the symptoms of fibroids. The reason that this method works is, I think, because it tackles all the different possible causes of fibroids and allows you to use an approach which covers all possibilities. I actually found it very interesting and it was a bit like going on a journey! In fact I have never been as healthy as I am now. If you would like to see the 7 Step, tried-and-tested method which will teach you how to eliminate fibroids naturally which has worked successfully for many thousands of women worldwide, you can find further details at Shrink Fibroids Naturally To learn all about natural remedies to shrink fibroids plus the different conventional and fibroids natural treatment options, please visit Types Of Fibroids
Having suffered from very large fibroids herself, Bernadette was scheduled to undergo a hysterectomy when she decided to try an alternative treatment to shrink fibroids naturally. Success followed, and she enjoys recommending this method to other women so they can be free of the symptoms.
