Enzymes and Food Combination

When you eat fruits and vegetables they are loaded with enzymes that essentially help to breakdown the food that you eat. However when you eat cooked food the enzymes are destroyed and your body has to work harder to digest that food.
As we have mentioned in this book, one of the problems that plagues acne sufferers whether they know it or not is there lack of ability to properly digest food. It’s very important for the success of this program that you supplement with digestive enzymes before eating a meal that contains cooked foods. You can purchase enzymes at just about any health food store or whole foods market. We do suggest you get capsules over tablets.
For proper digestion eat proteins and starches separately. Examples of proteins are chicken, turkey, fish and eggs. Examples of starches are oatmeal, rice, and potatoes. You can combine fats with your protein meals such as your EFA’S, butter, avocado, olive oil etc. Vegetables and salads can be combined with either protein or starches.
The whole premise behind this is that your body uses different digestive enzymes to breakdown proteins and starches, and when you combine them both at one meal it takes longer for a meal to be digested. The proof is in the pudding! Try it for seven days and see how much better you feel. As far as clearing your acne you can still see results following the program as outlined and skipping the food combination.
