You want your diet to be very clean. What I mean by clean is you want as much as possible a “whole foods” diet. Foods that are not highly processed and free from milk or milk by-products, foods that have no hydrogenated oils and no preservatives. When shopping for chicken or turkey look for no antibiotics or hormones. I understand if your eating at a restaurant that will not be possible, just do the best you can. Also you want a lot of fresh salads, You would be surprised at how many people go day after day with no salad.
Try to have at least one large salad a day with plenty of fresh veggies. If you want something more substantial add some sliced chicken or turkey to the salad. Be careful in selecting salad dressings, most brands are made with bad oils and have other ingredients that are harmful. Try fresh lemons as an alternative to commercial brands.
Foods To Eat
- Whole Grain: barley, buckwheat, oatmeal, millet, brown rice, wild rice, rye, quinoa, amaranth, sprouted bread, 7 grain, etc.
- Water: 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. Purified reverse osmosis water, no tap water. Special herb teas (“kidney”, “liver”, “blood purifier”.)
- Vegetables: broccoli, cabbage (red and green), carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumber, dill, garlic, kale, kohlrabi, lettuce, (bib, romaine, not iceberg), okra, onion, parsley, parsnips, peas, potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, radishes, scallions, spinach, squash, string beans, tomatoes, watercress,
- Vegetable Juice: daily as tolerated; First, spinach juice – 1 bunch of spinach ½ beet, 2 beet stalks mixed, 5 carrots, 1 celery stalk, 1 leaf swisschard, ¼ cup broccoli, ¼ cup cabbage. Drink on an empty stomach 30 to 45 minutes before a meal.
- Wheat Grass try for 1 to 2 ounces daily.
- Fruit: Organic, unsprayed fully ripened fruits. Because of the high sugar content limit to 2 to 3 pieces per day preferably mornings. No fruit juice.
- Protein: Fish; salmon, halibut, tuna, cod. Deep water ocean fish, not farmraised.
- Chicken, turkey, raised organically…(no antibiotics or hormones).
